Даны определения понятиям «последствия ПСМТ» и «осложнения течения ПСМТ» и освещены вопросы необходимости четкого разграничения этих понятий. Обоснована необходимость пересмотра существующей классификации осложнений ПСМТ, предложенной в 1994 году.</p></abstract><trans-abstract xml:lang="en"><p>The article presents modern literature data on the consequences and complications of spinal cord injury (SCI) in patients at all stages of recovery. The authors discuss definitions of the terms «SCI consequences» and «complications during SCI course». They underline the need to have a clear distinction between these terms.
